All is Calm, All is Bright – A Winter Solstice Memorial Celebration
December 21 @ 7:00 pm
Join us on December 21st at 7 PM for a beautiful evening of remembrance and celebration, as we honor the longest night of the year with Finnish traditions. This special event is a time to gather and memorialize loved ones, lighting the way with luminaries to bring warmth and light to the darkness.
Throughout December, we invite you to stop by and pick up a luminary to decorate at home or in our shop. Whether you choose to decorate your bag with our complimentary supplies on-site or take it home to personalize, each luminary will serve as a glowing tribute to those you’ve loved and lost. Once you’ve decorated your luminary, simply return it to us by the Winter Solstice, and it will be displayed as part of our beautiful tribute. There is no cost to participate.
As a thank-you for your participation, each person who decorates a luminary will receive a cardinal pin and memorial card when they turn in their bag. (Limit one per person, while supplies last.)
On the night of the Winter Solstice, we will come together to display the luminaries, creating a stunning scene of light and remembrance. The evening will also include music, caroling, snacks, hot cocoa, and a few prayers to honor the season and the spirit of our loved ones.
