OUR COMMITTEES:
We have six committees that work together to support the Chamber of Commerce’s Mission and Vision, they are:
The Ambassador Committee represents the Chamber of Commerce at public functions and activities. They assist in welcoming new businesses to the Chamber, membership retention, ribbon cuttings, business after-hour events, sponsorship programs, and membership drives.
The Event Committee reviews all current events in conjunction with the Chamber’s Mission Statement. It will ensure there is a separate functioning committee for each Special Event Sponsored or hosted by the Chamber. The Chamber is currently hosting: Business After Hours, Blessing of the Duners, Spring Fling – Easter Egg Hunt & More! (2014), Oceana Great Outdoors (2014).
The Marketing Committee maintains the marketing plan to allocate budgeted money to promote its member businesses. The marketing plan may include partnering with Silver Lake Sand Dunes – Hart Visitor Bureau and other groups.
The Personnel Committee manages the chamber’s staffing needs.
The Technology Committee works with the Executive Director and the Board to ensure that the Chamber is current with technology, including website, social media, and e-marketing.
The Volunteer Committee is made up of Volunteers who support the Visitor Center. The Chamber of Commerce, Executive Director, leads this committee. They greet people by welcoming them to our community and answering their questions. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us.
