Located in the quaint village of Pentwater, the Charles Mears State Park is a short 20-minute drive north of Silver Lake.
This very popular Lake Michigan beach attracts visitors of all ages. Facilities include a large beach and swimming area, picnic tables, children’s play area, and restrooms. There is also a State Park campground adjacent to the day-use beach.
Visitors enjoy walking and fishing off the harbor pier which separates the beach park from the Pentwater Channel.
