Archer House

Sitting on a large corner lot in downtown Hart, Michigan, Archer House is a fully restored historical home built in 1901. Just 3 blocks to Hart Lake and 15 minutes from the popular Silver Lake Sand Dunes, it’s the perfect stay for all your lakeside adventures! Plenty of parking for all your dune toys too! Totally remodeled and updated after being neglected for many years, the home features a total of 4 bedrooms, 2 and 1/2 bathrooms, living and dining room, fully stocked kitchen with a deluxe coffee & espresso bar and a breakfast nook area, laundry room and a third floor playroom/loft area.

Reclaiming Archer House from the overgrown trees and yard as the locals remember it, to a fully landscaped exterior. Flower beds surround the entire house and are filled to the brim with roses, hydrangea, weigela, lilacs, cherry and crabapple trees, hosta & grasses, and so much more. We’ve filled the yard with color, allowing guests to cut their own bouquet of goodness if they so choose! Bird feeders & a birdhouse added too. The side yard features a privacy fence with patio furniture and a fire pit for your outdoor entertainment. String lighting overhead adds a romantic ambiance for your enjoyment.

An outdoor grill is available to use, with grill tools and propane provided. The storage shed – with full guest access – provides 2 adult bikes w/ bike helmets. The Hart to Montague Bike Trail is just blocks away or ride around town and check out all the local shops. 4 beach chairs, a beach cart, beach toys, and a beach umbrella are included for use as well. Perfect for your day at the lake or sand dunes!

Inside the foyer entrance, you will find umbrellas in case of rain and hooks for your jackets. A shoe tray is provided too.

LAUNDRY & 1/2 BATH:
To your right, off the foyer entrance, is the laundry room with a half bath. Washer & dryer is available to use if needed and laundry soap, dryer sheets & spot remover are provided. In the laundry cabinet you will find the fully stocked first aid kit, bug spray, sunscreen and aloe. Extra toilet paper is there as well. Cleaning supplies are located under the vanity sink.

KITCHEN:
Located to the left of the foyer and is fully stocked with every appliance and tool one could need! Bring your food, we’ve got the rest covered! All your basic supplies and then some.

The deluxe coffee bar has a Keurig coffee maker, French press coffee maker and a Breville Espresso Machine. K-cups, hot chocolate, a variety of teas, coffee syrups, sugar & stevia, creamers, disposable coffee cups & straws, coffee filters and mugs available. Fresh roasted coffee beans, ground & decaf ground is supplied by Dark Water Coffee Roasters – a locally owned small business that has absolutely delicious coffee. You may also bring your own beans to grind if you prefer. Freshly roasted coffee takes your coffee drinks to the next level for sure!

Also included in the kitchen area is a variety of serving bowls, baskets, and a cake stand. The unique built-in wall cabinet has plenty of space to store any grocery items you bring along. The breakfast nook area attached to the kitchen seats 4 at the round table and is the sweetest spot to sit and watch the birds at the feeder.

DINING ROOM:
Off the kitchen area, the formal dining table seats 10. A booster seat is provided in the wall cabinet. Adult coloring books & gel pens, pencils, pens, crayons, pencil crayons, tape, scissors, coloring books, word search, sketch pads, and notebook paper is available in the built in drawers of the wall cabinet. The dining room hutch has cloth napkins, napkin rings, placemats, tapered candles and candlestick holders for those that want a finer dining experience! We also provide a basket of commonly needed items, like toothpaste & deodorant, that might easily have been forgotten.

LIVING ROOM:
Plenty of comfortable seating for everyone! Cozy pillows and throws, books on the bookshelf, board games, card games and puzzles in the TV cabinet, and a CD/tape/radio player as well. 55″ LG Smart TV, high speed internet & Wi-Fi provided. Access Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, You Tube, Disney + and more by signing into your account.

MASTER BEDROOM & BATHROOM:
Located off the dining room, this is the only first floor bedroom. Decorated in emerald green, black & white with touches of gold, this queen bedroom features a quality Lucid Gel Memory Foam mattress, luxuriously soft sheets, and a down comforter. Nightstands have charging stations. Two closets for clothes storage – this is where you will find the iron & ironing board and the vacuum cleaner. 2 plush monogrammed bathrobes are also hanging in the closet for your use.

A short hallway between the closets leads to the master bathroom that features two 36″ vanities w/ full mirrors and a walk-in corner shower with a rainhead shower head. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided, as well as a small bench for seating. Plenty of towels and washcloths are in the wall cabinet and each vanity is stocked with feminine hygiene supplies, Q-tips, cotton balls & facial cotton rounds, makeup removal wipes, hand mirror, and hair dryer. Cleaning supplies are located under the vanity closest to the toilet.

UPSTAIRS BATHROOM:
Located up the stairs off the dining room and to your right, this bathroom features the original bathtub and has a shower as well. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided. Vanity has feminine hygiene supplies, Q-tips, cotton balls & facial cotton rounds, makeup removal wipes, and a hand mirror in drawer. Hair dryer and cleaning supplies are under the vanity sink. Storage cabinet provides plenty of towels and washcloths. 2 plush monogrammed bathrobes are hanging on hooks behind the door for your use. A laundry basket in corner can be used for dirty linens when checking out.

BEDROOM 2:
Located up the stairs off the dining room and to your left, this bedroom features a king-size bed with a quality Lucid Gel Memory Foam mattress, luxuriously soft sheets and a down comforter. The room is decorated in sage green & neutral tones and bedside lamps provide charging stations. Two accent chairs for seating, a garment rack for clothes, and a pretty desk space are available for any work you might have.

BEDROOM 3:
Located down the hall and to the right, this queen bedroom is a peaceful sanctuary decorated in neutral tones with some blush pink and gold accents. It features a quality Lucid Gel Memory Foam mattress for the bed with luxuriously soft sheets and a down comforter, plus an accent chair for seating and a 3-drawer dresser. Nightstands have charging stations and this room also has a large closet. Hanging clothes rod and 2 luggage racks are in the closet along with additional blankets.

BEDROOM 4:
Located down the hall and to the left, this shades of blue bedroom features a queen bed and 2 single bunkbeds with quality Lucid Gel Memory Foam mattresses for all beds, luxuriously soft sheets, and down comforters. This room also has a very large closet. Hanging clothes rod and 2 luggage racks are in the closet, as well as a pack & play.

All bedrooms have wall mirrors and extra throws and pillows.

PLAYROOM & LOFT AREA:
Located up the stairs off the dining room and to your left. The first door on the left leads to the 3rd floor of the house and what was originally the attic space for Archer House. Completely re-done, this space is ideal for little children, teenagers, and parents too! Featuring a leather couch with chaise lounge for seating, an end table with a charging station, 2 poofs for additional seating, and a bookcase filled with children’s books and a basket of wood blocks in the main area.

Around the corner in a tucked-away nook is a storage bench (a few stuffed animals and a doll baby inside for younger children) with pillows and a fur rug… a cute spot to curl up with a book. A deluxe kitchen set with lots of Learning Resource play food & dishes and a child size table & chair set is there, and a bin of Magna Tiles in the corner provide hours of imaginative play for children as well.

A portable room heater sits in the corner for those days when extra heat may be needed in the upper level.
