Start Your Holiday Shopping off Right

November’s the perfect time to begin shopping for the holidays, and there’s no better place to find unique decorations and gifts than the Silver Lake area. As Small Business Saturday is also November 25th, this is a great opportunity to nab special deals and steals at local businesses.

Downtown Hart has several activities planned for Small Business Saturday.  Here is the lineup:

As you’ll be sure to work up a hunger while shopping, don’t forget to peruse our Food & Drink page for a full listing of great places to eat and drink in the area!

Explore the Great Outdoors

While the dunes are now closed to ORVs for the season, you can still explore them on foot. The Pedestrian Area is open to everyone, including experienced hikers, weekend wanderers, and hesitant explorers. Go as far as you like — as far out as the Lake Michigan beachfront if you want. Just remember you’ll have to walk back too!

There’s plenty of outdoor wonderland to explore elsewhere in the community as well. The Hart-Montague Bike Trail offers 22 miles of paved pathway for walking and biking — or snowmobiling in the winter!

You can also head south of Silver Lake to the part of the state park that’s home to Little Sable Point Lighthouse. Although the lighthouse itself won’t be open for tours, it’s still a lovely sight to be seen, and the views of the Lake Michigan shoreline are spectacular.

Check out our Parks & Trails page for a complete listing of outdoor adventure areas.
