Friday Night Concerts
Friday Night Concerts in Hart offer you a casual, outdoor opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of local talent. Bring your lawn chairs!
All the information you need on these and other activities can be obtained by stopping by the Visitor Center located just off the Hart Exit on Polk Rd. Local volunteers will by happy to assist you in making your visit to the area an enjoyable experience. Then you’ll know why so many families “come for the experience and stay for generations.”
Fridays In Hart 2008
- July 4: CLAUDIA SCHMIDT - Folk, Blues, and originals. Sings, plays guitar and dulcimer, and loves to tell stories.
- July 11: AMARYLIS - Folk, Gospel, and originals. Ruth Bloomquist sings and plays guitar while her husband Max backs her up on the stand up bass.
- July 18: OCEANA SINGERS - Patriotic, Gospel, and Traditional. More than 30 local residents who feel the world is a better place when people get together to sing.
- July 25: ELECTRIC WOMBATS - Pop music for the 70's and 80's. This group of teachers led by Dana Wall, play music that makes people want to get up and dance.
- August 1: OPEN MIKE - A chance for aspiring singers, musicians and storytellers to take the stage. Emcee Rick McGrath has a talent for making performers feel comfortable and helping them sound their best.
- August 7: JACK VIDETCH ORCHESTRA - Polkas, pop music and pretty much anything in between, with accordion and banjo as featured instruments.
- August 15: KEEPIN' IT COUNTRY - Swinging country music. Frank Skidmore and Hart's own Phyllis Fegal will keep us up late with their vast repertoire of country songs.
